Designing your Bathroom: Bathroom Design Ideas

we want to showoff our bathrooms and not be afraid to show people where the restroom is. The bathroom for most is considered a place of sanctuary - a retreat to go when your day's been long and hard and for most a personal spa in the comfort of your own home. It's no wonder that we want the nicest, newest, most interesting bathroom amenities in the market.

Style: The bathroom is a great place to take chances with design. Think about the rest of the house and as yourself if you'd like it to mimic the look of everything else or be completely different. When deciding on style, don't be afraid to be bold and funky! GO FOR IT! This is the one room you can have fun with.

Color: Choosing a color is equally as fun. You don't have to choose the boring natural hues that you've been taught to use. Here you can go bold - red, navy, chocolate brown - even black!

Layout: You can keep the existing layout or create a custom floor layout with your contractor or a bathroom designer.
    - Shower or Bath: You can decide whether you'd like a shower station, a luxurious bathtub or both. More and more people are opting out of the bathtub(insert another modern bathroom link here). It is seldom used and only take up much needed space for something else. Decide on what you'd prefer and be most comfortable with. For  your shower station, you can choose overhead showerheads, steam showers, rain showerheads, glass doors, etc.
   - Bath Vanities: Besides the shower or tub, the bathroom vanity is the next big thing in a bathroom. With so many styles to choose from, pick something that'll speak in unison with the rest of the room but is unique as well so it becomes a conversation piece.
  - Storage: Storage is important in any room but most important in a bathroom. You want a place to store your bare necessities where they are in reach but of sight. You don't want to clog up that beautiful bathroom vanity (insert link here)  with deodorants and personal items. So start shopping for custom beautiful cabinetry that'll match the look you are going for.

Lastly,
  - Accessories: Artwork, light fixtures, chandeliers, sconces, mirrors all add the finishing touches to the room.
