Featured Item Fridays: StarStruk Jewels

This week's Featured Item is by a very close friend of mine who owns her own line of jewelry. They are inexpensive and extremely chic. With her love of fashion and of course, shopping, StarStruk Jewels by Joy was born.

The inexpensive, stylish and unique pieces are so chic, I am purchasing a few sets of each and I invite you all to do the same. What she can do with clothes and accessory is just short of amazing. She is also a personal stylist so email me if you'd like to use her services.

Here are some of her pieces:

From now until the end of September, purchase anything from her site and be entered to win an e-consultation for you to design a room of your choice. We give you ideas, links and resources directly to your email for you to design your space.  Valued at $150 and running for $99 this month - we are giving this away for free just for supporting StarStruk Jewels.

Use Promo Code: KGSTYLE at checkout.

Moving Mondays: Creating a Conversation Area

"Design is a plan for arranging elements in such a way as best to accomplish a particular purpose." - Charles Eames

When designing your space, don't forgot about its function. Pay particular attention to traffic flow through the home, use of space, and conversation areas. You'd be surprised how so many people get this wrong.

DON'T have your furniture face your TV in your living space. Leave this for your family room, of course, if you have both, Instead, arrange your furniture to face each other creating a wonderful conversation area. If you have  a fireplace, arrange your furniture so that it becomes your focal point in the space. No fireplace? No problem. Create a focal point by adding artwork to the area. Use wingback chairs and a coffee table to finish the look and give the room a touch of elegance.

If you happen to have a larger space, create multiple conversation areas! (see last pic!)

Need to create a conversation area and don't know how. Email us today for our affordable interior design price list.

Trendy Tuesdays: Beautifully Blue

blue is definitely one of my favorite colors.  It's serene, calming and cool - an introvert's delight!

I came across Restoration Hardware's ad in House Beautiful and decided to go take a peek at their website and see what they were up to. To my surprise, their inspired color for the month is of course, blue! Their choice: indigo!

Indigo, as they mentioned below, is a color inspired by royals and earning the name, "Blue Gold." The pieces and accents they chose - make these spaces worth mulling over. They are simply divine.

Bring back the tranquility in your home by using Indigo as the color choice. I would love to design your space using this color. If you're interested, I'm here. Email me today for our affordable interior design service price list.
