But you don't have to lack design to enjoy a temporary space.
Here's how:
Frame a wall - literally "frame" the wall with different sizes and colors of picture frames.
- Choose pictures of things you'd like via the internet or scan your favorite painting or picture then go to CVS, Walgreens - anywhere they'd have a photo printing machine and print the picture in the size you'd desire.
- Choose an accent color. Did you find that perfect throw pillow? Pick out a color from the pattern to pull out as your accent if the pillow is multi-colored, if not use the color of the pillow to accent your wall. For example, If the pillow is teal, get some wood or white frames and paint them the exact color of the accent pillow. You can do 2 or three frames and leave the rest black.
Extra large colorful painting.
- If you're designing a bedroom, look into an over sized painting that can double as a headboard. Look for bold colors. Choose a color that you might want to choose as an accent color and buy a matching pieces - a throw, pillows - that can tie the room together.
Cover your walls with fabric instead of paint.
- Consider updating your decor with wall fabrics. This can add that much needed high-impact but very low-maintenance feel. Besides being unconventional, the biggest upside will be that you can change the look of the room in just 15 minutes. Here's a tip on how to do it yourself!
